Topkapi Palace Museum on Google Maps.
The Topkapı Palace Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and now an important historical and tourist site in Istanbul, is composed of hundreds of rooms, only the most important of which are accessible to the public. These include the harem, the treasury, where the great Spoon Diamond is kept, one of the largest diamonds in the world, and the dagger decorated with diamonds and emeralds; the halls displaying court robes; the hall of arms and armor; the hall of religious relics, with objects worn by the Prophet Muhammad; illustrated manuscripts such as the Topkapı Scroll; a collection of clocks; and rich decorations that adorn the palace's great halls. It takes several hours to visit, but it is a must-see museum for anyone visiting ancient Istanbul. An unmissable stop on your trip to Istanbul.
